Frequently asked questions
Is Umverso free?
Yes. The free plan never expires and includes today's verse in the widget, reminders and themes. Premium is optional.
How do I put a verse on my lock screen?
On iPhone, touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, choose the widget area and pick Umverso. The app walks you through it.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. On Android the verse shows in the home screen widget and in reminders.
Which Bible translation?
In English, the World English Bible. In Portuguese, Bíblia Livre or Tradução Brasileira.
Is my data safe?
Your faith and feelings stay only on your phone. Favorites, name and settings stay on your phone and in a copy in your own iCloud or Google account, which we cannot access. An account is optional: with it, an encrypted copy is kept on our server to sync between phones.
I switched phones or reinstalled the app. Does my data come back?
On iPhone, yes: with the same Apple ID and iCloud on, favorites, collections, My verses, streak and settings come back on their own. On Android, they come back through Google's backup, if it's on (it copies up to once a day). Your faith answer, theme photos, the widget and notification permission don't come back. Your subscription comes back on its own with the same store account.
